Danger Close Customs — Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction
Welcome to Danger Close Customs (“we”, “us”, “our”). By submitting a replica for service, purchasing parts, or signing the Tech Submission Form, you agree to all Terms & Conditions listed below. These Terms apply to all tech services, parts installations, parts sales, diagnostic services, and all mail-in submissions.
2. Scope of Service
These Terms apply to:

All airsoft repair, upgrade, diagnostic, and tech work

All parts installed during tech services
-
All parts purchased from our website
-
All mail-in and walk-in submissions
The 30-Day Limited Warranty applies only to tech work and parts installed by Danger Close Customs.
Parts purchased separately from the website are not covered by this warranty.
3. Estimates & Cost Changes
3.1 Initial Estimates

An estimate is provided before any work begins.

Estimates are approximate, not guaranteed.

Pricing may change due to:
-
Discovery of additional issues
-
Parts breaking during proper testing
-
Unexpected labor required
-
Parts that cannot be reused once installed
-
3.2 Responsibility for Additional Costs
You acknowledge the following:

If a part breaks during proper testing due to age, wear, defect, or pre-existing issues, Danger Close Customs is not responsible for replacement unless caused by improper installation.

If the failure is not caused by improper installation, the cost of the replacement part will be added to the final invoice.

Any part installed that cannot be reused on another replica (springs, seals, wiring, shims, compression parts, etc.) must be paid for by the customer if replacement becomes necessary.
3.3 Overhead Fee
A 10% overhead fee is added to the final total of all parts and labor.
This covers:

Payment processing fees
-
Shop consumables (lubricants, solder, wiring, cleaners, testing tools, etc.)
-
General tool wear
3.4 Parts Pricing

All parts are sold at the cost they were purchased for, as Danger Close Customs does not receive wholesale or supplier discounts.

Special-order items must be fully paid for by the customer, including all shipping costs, which are added to the final invoice.
4. Turnaround Time
A general timeline may be provided but is not guaranteed.
Turnaround times can vary due to:

Parts availability
-
Complexity of the build
-
Discovery of additional issues
-
Shipping delays
-
Current workload
No deadline is guaranteed.
5. Deposits & Payments
5.1 Required Deposit
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before any tech work begins.
Once work has started or parts have been ordered, the deposit cannot be refunded.
5.2 Final Payment
The final invoice must be paid in full before the replica is returned or shipped.
5.3 Diagnostic & Troubleshooting Fees
Diagnostic and troubleshooting fees are non-refundable, even if:

You decline further work
-
The replica cannot be repaired
-
The issue is unresolvable
6. Abandoned Replicas
You have 30 days from the date the final invoice is sent to pay in full.
After 30 days, the replica becomes the property of Danger Close Customs.
We may sell, part out, or dispose of the replica to recover costs.
7. 30-Day Limited Tech Warranty
7.1 What Is Covered

Workmanship on tech services

Parts installed during tech work
-
Issues caused by improper installation
7.2 What Is NOT Covered
-
Parts purchased separately from the website
-
Customer-supplied parts
-
Wear and tear
-
Misuse or abuse
-
Water exposure
-
Pre-existing damage
7.3 Warranty Packet
A warranty packet is provided after each completed build.
It includes:

Maintenance instructions
-
Recommended BB brands
-
Care steps
-
Battery/PSI guidelines
-
Warranty claim process
Failure to follow these instructions will void the warranty.
7.4 Warranty Void Conditions
Warranty is void if:
-
The QC sticker is removed, tampered with, or damaged
-
Incorrect BBs are used
-
Recommended maintenance is not followed
-
The replica is dropped, abused, or mishandled
-
The replica is exposed to moisture or water
-
Unauthorized techs open or modify the replica
-
Incorrect voltage, battery, or PSI settings are used
7.5 Warranty Shipping Costs

Customer must pay shipping to Danger Close Customs.
-
If the claim is valid, we cover return shipping within the continental U.S.
-
International customers must pay return shipping.
8. Shipping Costs & Mail-In Policy
8.1 Customer Shipping Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for all shipping costs, including:

Shipping the replica to Danger Close Customs
-
Shipping the replica back to the customer
-
Shipping costs for special-order parts
-
Packaging materials
-
Insurance (optional but strongly recommended)
8.2 Lost or Damaged Shipments
Danger Close Customs is not responsible for items lost, stolen, delayed, or damaged during shipping, whether incoming or outgoing, regardless of the carrier.
8.3 Release of Replica
A replica will not be released or shipped until:

The final invoice is paid in full

All shipping costs are paid
-
All special-order part costs are paid
-
All diagnostic fees are paid
8.4 Import Fees, Duties & Tariffs
All import fees, duties, tariffs, taxes, and international handling charges are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Danger Close Customs does not cover, reimburse, or absorb these costs under any circumstances.
Any import or customs fees billed to Danger Close Customs will be added to the customer’s final invoice and must be paid in full before the replica is released or shipped.
9. Liability & Damage Disclaimer
You acknowledge and agree that:

Danger Close Customs is not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing wear, low-quality aftermarket parts, manufacturing defects, or failures during proper testing.

Damage occurring during proper tuning or stress testing is the customer’s financial responsibility unless caused by improper installation.
-
Airsoft replicas contain parts that may fail unpredictably during testing or operation.
-
Danger Close Customs is not liable for items lost, damaged, delayed, or stolen during shipping.
-
We are not liable for incidental or consequential damages such as missed events, lost game days, or shipping delays.
10. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time for any reason, including:

Unsafe replicas
-
Excessive wear or internal damage
-
Incompatible parts
-
High-risk requests
-
Problematic customer behavior
11. Customer Responsibilities
By submitting a replica, you agree to:

Provide accurate information about the replica and its condition

Follow all maintenance guidelines in the warranty packet
-
Use only recommended BBs and batteries
-
Pay all costs related to labor, parts, overhead, and shipping
-
Follow all safety and care instructions
12. Acceptance of Terms
Signing the Tech Submission Form means you:

Have fully read and understand these Terms & Conditions
-
Accept all costs, warranty rules, and liability policies
-
Agree to all shipping, testing, and diagnostic procedures
-
Understand that work will not begin until the deposit is paid
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Hampshire.
